Scheenau was our first dog we got together after we were married.
Yes, she is a Alaskan Malamute and not a Siberian and she taught us a lot.
She was the best family dog and was very protective.
A short story, we bought Scheenau from a farmer with not to many questions asked
but we knew we had just the cutest puppy ever. But from then on we learned what was a good and bad breeder.
We found hip dysphasia at 9 months, skin cancer and some other health problems down the road.
The older she got we did our best to make her comfortable
(her own day bed included) and kept her quality of life in our minds.
At a young age of 7 yrs. her hips could no longer go on and we knew it was time and so did she.
When we bought Kami to be her playmate we realized the correct way to
pick out a puppy from a reputable breeder and to ask the right questions.
So you can say Scheenau taught us good ethics for breeding and learning honesty is the best way.
Scheenau we miss you very much and thank you for the memories.
